We visited for the second time and we're glad we gave this place another chance. Our first visits was not as good...this time, our waitress, Kaley, was terrific! The food was very good-we had the 3-course prix-fix meal. and the cost was super reasonable. If you want a modern, unassuming, yet casually elegant restaurant with excellent food, try Corinne's. We love having dinner here before going to a show. Dinner was great, most of is got steaks, they were all done perfectly as ordered. My wife got their special, a sea bass, she commented that it was the best she has ever had. Our waiter, Matt was awesome, he really took care of us, always a great tine here! More

Festive without being loud, my husband and I were at Carlo's with our children to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was perfect - lighting perfect without being too bright. Service was wonderful without being intrusive. Our server was extremely helpful with her explanation/description of dishes, and gave us plenty of time to select our menu choices. Carlo was also pleasant without being intrusive. Appetizers were excellent, the main courses were wonderful, and dessert just the right ending to the meal. Living on a fixed income will make it difficult to return too often. But I believe the next special occasion our family celebrates just might find us back at Carlo's Bistro. Thank you so much. More

The Slogar
The Slogar
Creole / Cajun / Southern | Crested Butte, Mountains

The Slogar building was built in 1882 by Thomas W. Lipcomb. It was the first tavern frequented by miners on their way home from a day’s work at the Big Mine on the Bench. Saloon girls would ply miners with libations after long hours in the coal mine. The Slogar claims a spot on the “Haunted Tour” of Crested Butte as these same saloon girls can be seen sweeping through the building in their large hoop skirts. In 1976, after a long vacancy, The Slogar building was restored and converted into a restaurant.
The Slogar has been offering family style, skillet fried chicken dinners in Crested Butte since its inception in 1989. Our specialty skillet fried chicken is from a world famous recipe dating back to 1915. Handmade baking powder biscuits, old-fashioned mashed potatoes, and rich chicken gravy have been a Crested Butte tradition for both locals and visitors for 30 years.More

Discover Denver

Located just an hour’s drive from the trifecta of ski resorts—Aspen, Vail and Breckenridge—and nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains; Denver is scaling the ranks of the country’s most desirable places to live. And while Colorado’s capital city is a world class hub of winter recreations, a booming restaurant scene is on the rise, too. Brunch waits now rival those of its coastal counterparts. Sounds a little weird given Denver’s land-locked nature, but sushi is also popular here. Downtown, you’ll find Italian Trattorias, sprawling beer gardens, and a slew of coffee shops that range from pour over bars to laid-back, locals-only spots. Larimer Square forms the heart of downtown’s historic district and houses upscale restaurants fit for special occasions. On the outskirts of town, Red Rocks Amphitheater draws festival crowds for its outdoor acoustics and epic views.
