Very tasty food at reasonable prices. Very attentive service with a smile. The portions are not large per say but they are just enough. Nice menu options!!! There is something for all.
Food was just average comfort fare and portions were very small for the price.
food was bland. we didn't even finish. service was so slow and we were the only ones in the dining room.
the dining area was nice, spacious... you did not feel crowded; a very nice outdoor patio, too; service was friendly; half price wine on Tuesdays is a bonus. The food was nicely presented; but, was not very flavorful, not very good at all.
As always, a great meal with wonderful, friendly and attentive service. Love sitting outside on nice days!
Really good food. Surprised that the food was "upscale" because the restaurant itself is very casual. Food, however, is not. You can get a burger or at the opposite end have the mussels that were extremely good. I guess it has something for everyone. Truly enjoyed it and will go back.
If you like kids screaming while you dine, this is the place for you. Management refused to stop a party with 4 wailing children from keeping the noise down "because they were regulars." We will not go there again, as they don't care about NEW CUSTOMERS
The food was delicious. Great selection and good portion sizes. Seating on the patio was lovely. Very enjoyable meal.
Great! The outdoor patio was so nice and unexpected. Between 4 of us we had the mussels, fried green tomatoes (personal favourite!), shrimp cake, roasted beets, chopped salad, and the turkey burger. Everything was really tasty although I didn't like the coleslaw on the turkey burger and thought it made the bun soggy. Service was great too, I'd definitely come back here.
Soup was flavorful but a little cold, Short ribs flavorful, needed more sauce, overall Feast was good, not great
My friend and I both had shrimp tacos. They were garnished with 2 slices of brown avocado. When my friend complained the waiter brought a place of much better looking slices of avocado. Why did that even go out of the kitchen??
Haven't been here in a while but food and service still good . Always a good choice for lunch and dinner. Great environment.
Everything we had was delicious - on the specials menu, fried green tomatoes and the special flatbread; on the regular menu, the trout salad and the Feast burger. Our waitress was amazing and so helpful with learning more about the area. Highly recommend.
Check out the menu beforehand... It's somewhat slim pickings but what we did order was delicious
Feast is good for lunch and dinner, just OK for brunch
Easter brunch at Feast included a buffet, choice of entree, and coffee or tea. Our group of seven really enjoyed the food, and the service was excellent. The room is bright and sunny -- it created the perfect mood to celebrate the holiday.
Went for lunch. Service fast and friendly. Food quite good.
The service was great. Appreciated them letting us sit there for a long time without constant questioning.
Found this by Googling Gluten Free friendly restaurants in Chicago. My husband is very sensitive and he raved about it! I loved my food too. :)
The falafel burger was delicious!! I tasted the steak as well, perfectly cooked.
Good food and excellent & friendly service from Alissa (sp?).
We arrived at the same time as every other customer- they seemed a bit overwhelmed by this but served great food and were nice about the wait. Would come back for chilaquiles.
Despite the restaurant being almost empty, we found the service to be very slow. The runners kept placing the wrong dish in front of each person, didnt seem to understand much English, and the waitress didn't come over to help them get it right.
The main dishes were mediocre at best. We did enjoy the desserts, though. They were the only redeeming part of the meal. I had family in from out of town and had selected the restaurant, so I was a bit embarrassed.
It was a party of 7, so I wasn't completely surprised to see the gratuity added to the check. But in my previous experience the automatic gratuity is typically 15% at most restaurants. If I get great service, I will add another 5%. But 20% automatically for sub-par service on a $400+ check, left a bad taste in my mouth.
When we walked in, the place was over 85 degrees and everyone was sweating. Even cracking a door did not help. Biscuits with blue cheese and onions and bacon brussel sprouts were only highlights. Would go back just for that app and side. Steak nothing to write home about, and the mussel dinner had large portions, but the tiniest mussels inside. Broth was good, but the sausage was tastier than the shellfish.
Service was good! Food was excellent! All the Tap beer tasted funny and was flat.... Otherwise not a bad place!
food was great, my girfriend loved her wine, half priced bottle that night, and i loved the craft beer selection
Terrible option for a vegetarian/vegan. My friend ordered short rib which she enjoyed, the polenta especially. I don't eat meat so ate sides and could have gone to Feed for 1/3 of the price, a better ambiance and more authentic southern american flavor. We were both disappointed as we remembered it being more about seasonal veggies, local/organic. It's just another overpriced place in the neighborhood now, no special character, TVs on for no reason ruining the ambiance. Waitstaff was great without a doubt but the food was too expensive for how basic it was.
We love our server that night..very pleasant and attentive. Would love to have more dessert options.
Delicious food, great choices and decent prices
My daughter is both gluten-free and dairy-free, and it is rare to find a restaurant like Feast so willing to accommodate these dietary restrictions. There were several dishes on the menu that normally contained butter, but the kitchen willingly made them with oil instead so my daughter could eat them. And it was all very tasty. We will definitely return
What can i say.... Feast has some good food and some very creative cocktails. We started off with some cocktails, the chicago style and the veev Basilica. Both were very tasty, but could have used a little more kick (tasted a bit sweet for me)
the food was most excellent, having one of my standby's : the Feast Burger and also trying out the House Smoked pulled chicken. A bit messy but what can you expect for a BBQ sandwich.
The feast burger was one of the best burgers I think that I've ever had -- ever. I'm 26 and I've had a lot of burgers.
What's even better, I ordered well done, received a medium well, and STILL it was fantastic. Couldn't even complain.
Cool ambiance, good seating arrangement for groups, no trouble with the reservation, etc. Patient service, great time.
We had salads.. they were alright. Your basic salad. The patio is so nice and is what keeps me coming here.
Perfect patio seating! We went for a quite lunch outside during the week and had lentil soup that was tasty and then the turkey burger and black bean burger. All was good I will be back for sure! Super easy to eat then hope on the blue line too!
We've been in to dine several times since the overhaul. The food is still very good... But the menu is limited and the atmosphere just doesn't work well. We wanna like it again, but we still prefer the old menu and the warmer decor.
Service was passable, patio seating was pleasant. IFeast Burger was either previously frozen or made from chopped skirt steak. Over-salted apps, salad. Second class altogether.
We went for mother's day and was pleasantly surprised with how good the food was and the 1/2 menu 1/2 buffet option. We will definitely go back!
The menu and chef has changed since I was here last. The food was very good and the dishes were interesting. Very happy. One minor thing was the cheapo looking menus. You can't have such a thing and try to sell 60.00 dollar bottles of wine.
Wish you would seat families with small children in a separate room from couples who are trying to enjoy a night out. The food was delicious and the service good, but the atmosphere impacted the experience.
Love the patio!
