This restaurant is out of business and no update was provided to cancel the reservation. And now they asked for review. Poor quality.
The restaurant was closed down permanently yet "Open Table" still let me make a reservation. My family members were all dressed for our annual Christmas dinner only to drive to the restaurant, at Open Table reservation time, to find it closed. Very disappointed.........
We arrived at Adam's to find the doors locked and lights off!
This restaurant was closed even though the reservation was confirmed through Open Table. OpenTable needs to contact the restaurant to determine if they are still in business before confirming reservations!
This restaurant has permanently closed which we discovered when we arrived for our reservation.
Adams closed for good four nights before we got there.
The restaurant was shut down!!! Didn’t get to eat there
This restaurant is out of business!!!! I was shocked to find out that Open Table had confirmed my reservation at a restaurant that was not open! This was to be a special graduation celebration dinner! Very disappointing.
The restaurant is permanently closed
Good piano player - singer. Shrimp was over cooked - O Charley's has much better shrimp and pasta dishes. The manager is the worst-a pompous bore. I suggest one would be better served to go to OCharleys to get better food and save a fortune. Service is better, food is better and the price is one fourth as much. Any chain restaurant would be a better choice.
We made reservations at this restaurant where we enjoyed dinner many times before. There were six people for dinner and we got the reservation confirmation on email. We showed up and the doors were locked and the lights were off! I never have experienced this before in all my life!! There were many other people outside the restaurant waiting to get inside. The owners of the establishment next door said the owner of Adams just left earlier that day, said he was done with this, and locked the doors and left!! Seriously??? Luckily we were able to walk a little way down the street and get a table and nice meal at another restaurant. So what could have been a disaster of an evening was luckily saved. We have no idea what happened, but needless to say, we were shocked on arrival to view this unhappy scene.
The restaurant was CLOSED!!!
We had a $50 gift certificate and reservations that were confirmed on line. When we got there they were closed and out of business. Now I understand why.
We initially made our reservation through Open Table for 11/28/17, but we cancelled that date and rescheduled for 12/1/17. When we arrived the restaurant was closed, no notice on the door, called and there was no answer. We walked future down the street and had a wonderful dinner at Aqua Terra. When we told the hostess what happened she had not heard anything about Adam’s being closed. I called tonight, 12/2/17 and there was no answer. Open table needs to update their website to indicate the restaurant is closed.
One of our favorite places but something has changed. Only 2 waiters on a Saturday night. Service was miserably slow. They were out of blue moon and the crab cakes.
Unique location that we drive an hour to get to. Not sure we will go again. Too many other choices to settle for subpar service and constantly being told they are out of something you want. That should not have happened. I don’t blame the waiter as he tried really hard. He was just overwhelmed. AND we should not have had to leave our table to go to the bar for drinks either!
Piano player was awesome and has an amazing voice. She’s a real gem. Come on Adam get it together!!!
It was horrible! The owner should be ashamed. I will never go back nor will I recommend.
We made reservations on Open Table for the day before Thanksgiving and when we arrived the restaurant was "closed for Thanksgiving". Would have been nice to have been notified ahead of time. Fortunately the steak house down the street had openings. It was very good. We haven't been to this location before and likely won't return.
After making reservation and even getting a confirmation text, the restaurant was closed when we got there. This was for a birthday dinner and the whole family was dressed up. Very disappointing.
Had mAde reservation to take my sister for a birthday dinner one week in advance.
Had received several reminders from restaurant about upcoming reservation.
As I am driving g to pick up my sister I get a call from the restaurant saying they are going to cancel my reservation because they are having mechanical problems.
It left me trying to find a reservation on a Saturday night.
I was able to get a table at a restaurant a couple of doors down from Adam's
On the door of the restaurant they had a sign saying they would be closed until after Thanksgiving. There were several people standing outside restaurant that had not been called about their restaurant.
I don't know what the problem was, but they could at least had a person there to explain.
I had read many negative reviews about Adam's online, but I decided to give it a chance.
But that will be the one and only chance. There are too many other excellent restaurants in downtown Buford to put up with this customer service
The restaurant has very delicious food and we have visited several times through the last ten years. Lately, we have noticed a decline in attendance in a place that should have a lot more customers based upon their menu and we do not understand why. The only thing new diners should expect is an abbreviated wine & beer list and that your bar drinks will come with crushed ice which I find extremely unusual.
Give the restaurant a try if you haven't been there. It is a very nice treat to have live piano music and singer. People like to gather around the piano and sing as well. Join in the fun and enjoy some good food.
I was really disappointed by the service and some of the foods quality. The restaurant had more empty tables than occupied and I never got a refill of my drink. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer for $9 and you get 3 slices, and not 3 large slices. The steak was burned on the outside (tasty on the inside), but the overall quality was low because the of the crispness. Dessert was good.
Great place. Victoria is an amazing pianist! She's what I enjoy most at Adam's Restaurant.
The entertainment was fantastic. The piano player was awesome and quite enjoyable. Cocktails were marginal at best and food was just OK. There was a charge for us to split a main course which I thought was absurd
Ask our server about the specials, she said she didn't know, had to run out to the sidewalk to read the chalk board. Ordered a bottle of wine, different server brought it and opened the wrong bottle. The steak I had was great, the salad and sides were mediocre.
Service was very slow and were out of most drinks on a Saturday evening.
We had a party of 5 and everyone was satisfied. Three individuals in our party had a filet and all raved about it. One had salmon and I had rack of lamb. The salmon was also very good. The rack of lamb was a bit on the small side but keep in mind that I can be very picky about this dish. All of the food was delicious and we will definitely return. This was a very quiet Thursday night and there were very few patrons which actually made it kind of fun for us. The drinks, food and service were worth every penny.
We went there for an appetizer dinner. We had the calamari, the oysters Rockefeller, and the crabcakes. The oysters Rockefeller was really delicious and my husband wanted another order. Unfortunately they had run out. So it is obviously that delicious!
Service was lacking, unfortunately. The hostess was not at her station. Matter of fact, she was in the dining area serving and taking people's orders. We had to wait a while for our drinks to arrive. It was odd for us to have to wait because the restaurant and bar was not packed.
After reading the previous review about service lacking, I hesitated to make reservations here. But I thought that maybe that reviewer's experience was an unusual "out of the norm night". Anyway, I guess our dining experience was similar.
The pianist was good, but it was also very loud which made having a normal conversation difficult.
Service was really bad. Food was very good. Ambiance was very good. Excellent music.
We attempted to provide our friends with a wonderful birthday dinner. I made three incredibly reasonable requests when making the reservation (one check without prompting, birthday dessert menu without prompting, and a special song from the pianist). I also called the restaurant 2.5 hours prior to arrival to ensure our notes were reviewed. Upon arrival, we were seated next to a large, loud party. Additionally, we were provided a server who, to their own acknowledgement, didn't "know anything about the food". This was apparent when she failed to inform us the deep fried lobster tail was not a large enough appetizer to split between 4 people; she was unable to answer any questions regarding the menu; she failed to offer water throughout the dinner; she mixed up the cook temp between the lamb entrée and filet entrée; she did not bring one check and did not offer birthday dessert menu.
My husband checked about the song request and we were told it could not be accommodated but that the pianist would make "a big deal" about the birthdays. Not only was a big deal not made, it was not even mentioned at any point throughout the evening.
Since we were extraordinarily disappointed with our evening, especially for the amount we paid, I reached out to management via email and FB messenger. I wanted to explain how hard we had tried to ensure a most pleasant evening and what we experienced, and we have not received a response. This will be our last time visiting Adam's Piano Bar.
Great evening was had. From drinks, appetizers to main course...we enjoyed it all. Thanks for the great service!!!
Arrived well before our reservation and seated immediately as we were the only guests. Food was very good and hot when arrived. Service could have been more personal. Waiter not very enthusiastic especially when presented with check. Would definitely go back.
TVs (baseball playoffs) and AC weren’t working. No Copper mug for Moscow Mule and very limited tequila options. Waitress was friendly but forgot one of four meals and casually apologized. Food was pretty good and we enjoyed the piano player. We’ll find another place for dinner next time we’re in “Historic Buford”.
Been wanting to try this place for quite some time. I was sorely disappointed. The food was bland and undercooked and it took forever for my wife and I to get out entree. It has a cool atmosphere with the piano player (who was great) but the service and food doesn't support the price.
Everything was wonderful about dinner. But after we finished our meal we moved to the bar to have one more drink. We sat there for more than five minutes while the bartender had his back to us. Then he came over and said he would be with us in a minute and left the bar area. After three or four more minutes of seeing him wandering around in the dining room we decided to get up and leave and go to the restaurant next-door for a drink.
Great food, atmosphere., and terrific service by Amber.
Cool bar and fabulous piano playing! The service was wonderful and the food was French-inspired and lovely. A treasure in Buford!
Took 35 min to get our drinks. They were out of white wine and no bartender.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Good local spot. Food portions are in line with pricing.
Always a great place to celebrate our special events!
I've been visiting Adams for years now. This last visit was enough to convince myself never to return. I'll start with the cocktails. I ordered a Makers Mark only to have the waitress tell me they did not have any. Then the dinner. I ordered the lobster, out of stock again. I was about to walk out at that point, but I really enjoyed the waitress. The piano player was almost pathetic. I almost fell asleep! Sorry Adams. I hope you survive this setback. I won't be back
