Place was great! All the recommendations our server furnished us with were excellent, and the ambiance was amazing.

Great vibe, cool bar, love the decor. The food for brunch was creative, healthy (mostly!) and delicious. Lots of good choices for diet challenges like gluten, dairy and vegetarian. Our waitress seemed a little spacey, but the rest of the service was on point. The music is loud enough (or we were just under a speaker) that we had to talk louder than normal to be heard amongst our group. Overall, great meal and we'd visit again!

Felt very rushed. Little to no time between dishes. We weren’t finished with starters when entree rolled out.

Delighted by the vegetarian options at Clever Rabbit - lots of creativity and excellent mixing of flavors. Recommend the sharing platter of the many appetizers and spreads to sample the full diversity on offer. One or two duds on the rest of the menu, but overall we were impressed!

I came here with my partner and my grandparents. My grandparents are Chicagoans originally but recently moved to Alabama. They were in town visiting and instead of indulging in the usual spots to satisfy their craving for familiar food, we decided to come here for something different. My partner and I try to eat vegetarian as much as we can and we heard good things about Clever Rabbit from friends.
We ordered some cocktails- carrot margaritas, a regular margarita, the watcher, an old fashioned. My grandpa ordered a regular margarita and said it was just okay but he really enjoyed the carrot one he ordered after tasting one of ours. We ordered the fried radishes, brussel sprouts, carrot dumplings, sweet potatoes, pig ear pasta, and tuna. We also got the carrot cake for dessert (the olive oil jam is pure genius). Everything we ate was delicious. Table favorites: the fried radishes, brussel sprouts, carrot dumplings, and pig ear pasta. The pig ear pasta was again quite delicious but we felt that for our table of 4, it could have been a slightly bigger portion by maybe 3-4 more pieces of pasta. I personally loved the tuna and it was sliced beautifully. The service was super friendly. Our server Hector was perfectly attentive but not too overbearing or pushy. We left feeling full and satisfied, but not overly stuffed, which was great. My grandpa loved it so much he took the food and cocktail menus home to try to replicate the recipes at home ha! I can't wait to come back and try the brunch menu. Thanks for a great evening!

I don't eat meat and there were more than the usual vegetarian and vegan options. Service was excellent. Really liked the carrot orange mimosas.

Drinks and ambience were great! Would go again for drinks. Food was less than spectacular. We just did appetizers and ordered cauliflower and chickpea based dishes. Honestly didn’t think the food was good or worth the price.

Clever Rabbit was wonderful! All of the plates are meant for sharing and trying new foods. The vibes had a pretty, rocker, slight Nashville feel that we were all totally on board with. Will absolutely return and recommend.

We have been here twice, and have had a great experience both times. The menu is very vegatable focused, but is really delicious and creative. They also have some really great meat options...the burger and the calamari are both fantastic. The space has a cool vibe, and the service was friendly and attentive. We will be coming back.

I'll start by saying our server was absolutely fantastic!

The food...... less so... We had the harvest salad which was fine, then got the brussel sprouts. The sprouts were listed under "vegetable" and we thought they'd be halved and roasted or sauteed. Instead they were a salad - an undressed and unseasoned salad. It was basically eating raw shredded brussel sprouts... we sent that back. Next we got the fried radish under "spreads" because we were intrigued. It was literally fried radishes with an herb butter.. no bread or anything. Turns out, when radishes are fried they just become a sponge for the grease. very unpleasant and we sent that back as well.

The wine was good. I will not be back.

Brussels sprout salad was delicious. Carrot dumplings were deep fried balls of dough and disappointing. Cauliflower was tasty and good value but needed salt and lemon. Service was poor.

Not the most creative vegetable-forward joint in Chicago, but worth a spin! Their cocktails are good fun. Food was solid, but not mind-blowing.

Went for Brunch and enjoyed the sweet potato pancakes. Wasn't the most memorable meal I have had but was just a solid brunch. Also incredibly kid friendly with plenty of space to navigate a stroller. Excellent and worth trying if you are in the neighborhood

Delicious food with a vegetarian focus!! We had the broccoli gratin, pig ear pasta, Brussels sprouts, carrot dumplings and mushroom polenta terrine. The menu changes so make sure to look before you go but it was all delicious! The plates are a little small so you might want two!

Definitely a cool spot. The service was excellent. The food was good; bigger portions than I anticipated, which was actually nice for a change. Good spirits list with good mezcal selections. Good spot to bring a date or just hang out and eat and drink.

Food was good. Was a little confused if this was a small plates or bit. Decided the portions we're too big to be small plates and to small for entree. But very good and excellent drinks.

This was my second visit to Clever Rabbit and my first as a new transplant to Chicago. I can't fault the service or the food we ordered - both were outstanding, our server was happy to share tips about the menu (which she knew back to front) and Chicago life, the carrot dumplings and tomato confit were incredible. Just wish there were some more hearty Vegan options on the menu, a delicious pasta or something more filling which tended only to be the non-vegetable offerings.

Most of what we ordered was spectacular. I'm vegetarian, but even my devoted carnivore friend enjoyed the food. Some of the portions were tinier than I would have expected (even knowing that we were getting small plates), but the service, bread and drinks more than made up for it.

I hadn’t know about the Clever Rabbit until I saw a posting about it for this years Chicago Restaurant week... I was blown away! I booked a table for my wife and I to enjoy for her birthday and we were elated by the experience and the kindness of the staff; they really brought a level of exuberance that was refreshing and appreciated.

Top 5 Meal of my entire life!

Thank you for an amazing meal!

Great meal with lots of veggies in a cool setting! They have fish and chicken dishes alongside a great selection of vegetarian items. Our group of 4 shared a handful of the veggie dishes and a salad and all left content. They have unique cocktails, but most seemed light or sweet rather than spirit forward. The value was pretty good, not overly expensive for the quality.
