Made reservation early last week, and when my wife and I came to the restaurant, the lights were off and doors locked. Wasn’t allowed to cancel reservation either.

Made a Saturday night reservation for 6 (every time had open reservations for 6 which should have been out first clue) and got there 15 minutes early with only a couple of tables occupied and the rest empty. The host was unprepared for us and after waiting 20 minutes was then rude when we asked why they couldn't seat us. Took forever for the server to greet us and another eon for our drinks to come (1 hour since we'd arrived). One of our guests was gluten free which the menu clearly states the pasta could be substituted for GF. Server had never heard of such a thing and left in the middle of taking orders to go ask in the kitchen. Another 10 minutes before she returned saying no GF it's an error. Finally we were able to complete our order and when the food arrived, everything tasted very good. But, getting drink refills and bills that had incorrect charges on them corrected was painstakingly slow. The food was pricey and not worth the horrible service.

We enjoyed our dinner at Copia. The food was good. The service was just acceptable due to a surge in traffic from a local Convention center event they weren't ready for.

Unusual experience to say the least. The young gal who served us - who did the absolute best anyone could for her level of responsibility that evening - greeted us a hostess, then turned into waitress and took our order. THEN GET THIS - she goes behind the bar and starts making the drinks, brings them, and takes our order. We soon realize she is the only one besides kitchen staff working! People -- it's 7pm on a Friday night. Not to mention it was super bright in there, no music and even though there were only maybe 5 other parties nearby us, it was so eerily quiet in there you could clearly hear everyone's every word. All the while the hostess/waitress/server/bartender is sprinting around the restaurant like Usain Bolt. Poor gal, go somewhere where ownership takes responsibility for no-shows and rolls their sleeves up. It was ridiculous. We had our app's and entrees which were good - nothing exceptional (prime rib and duck). This place could have potential, but has a lot to learn about what it takes to get a customer like myself back. I don't think I'll be returning.

Had many tables to pick from but was seated next to the open doorway of the kitchen. We moved ourselves elsewhere because no one wants to hear “work talk” or “work music” while dining. Food was good, service was average. Also wanted to let them know that people with Groupons are not second-class citizens and they should be treated well because in our case, this was our first visit. Groupon is a great way to try a restaurant or activity for the first time to see if you want to return .

This was the worst dining experience on life. The manager called after I made our reservation for a large bachelorette party. He proceeded to tell me that even though Open Table showed many times available, we would be waiting because of the many parties ahead of us. He was upset that we had even made the reservation at all. It was a very strange call! We arrived and he was very irritated I had not noticed a miss call confirming our reservation, he had done that already with the pervious strange call. He seemed from our very entry that we were a waste of time and a nuisance. As we were walked to our table, the entire place was empty! One 2 other small table groups. It was a joke considering the place was “expected” to be packed with the many other parties ahead of us! We were sat outside and it was freezing. The entire place was empty so why could we not sit inside!?! The manager even said it was going to get down to 30deg so he would do what he could.

It took 30 minutes to get our drinks even ordered, 30 minutes to order food and an hour from there before we could get a check. We saw our waitress/waiter 2 times. The poor water guy took car of everything. Gratuity was required on the bill and it was a major joke considering the customer service. The bride was in tears by the time we left and it killed the mood for the rest of the night. The food was over all good but very small portions and way over priced. The waitress told us after ordering the lasagna “It was really good because the had made it fresh today,” when the hell is it normally made!?! So you are saying it is normally not fresh!?! Horrible! The water guy apologized on the way out and said it is miserable to work with these horrible people and no one comes anymore. The waiter/waitress were yelled at each other when we were leaving. I am usually very understanding but this many errors and disregard especially on a special night is ridiculous !

I have never experienced such horrible service and food. The waitress had to sit us, she took long to do that, she sat us and did not come back to the table for at least 10 minutes and the restaurant was not full. She took drink orders, that took 20 minutes. The food was not what it used to be 3 years ago. This was a horrible experience and way for us to celebrate our friend's 50th birthday.

If I could give less than one star I would. My friend and I made reservations for the evening of the Taylor Swift concert (Tuesday 9/18) and got there on time. Waited 10 mins to even be acknowledged at the door. A man sat us, but then no one even looked our way. As we sat there, we over heard (not spoken lightly, full on shout/yell) about not being able to take any more tables and how they don’t have enough people and it’s just too much. And all the kitchen people (we were sat right by the kitchen despite MANY open tables elsewhere) were yelling about not having what they need. My friend decided to take a head count of the dining room and there was less than 24 people in the entire restaurant!!! We made these reservations in advance to avoid having to wait and we ended up after 10 mins of being ignored, walked out and will never be back. Almost messed up the whole evening, having to find somewhere else and wait for a table. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant that I had reservations for!?!?

There is no excuse.

Not sure what was going on. There was barely any waitstaff despite a full list of reservations, people sitting at tables with no drinks or food, and a flustered host that struggled to seat us at our reservation time even though there were plenty of open tables. We had two separate groups just tell us to leave if we actually wanted to eat, so we walked out (we hadn’t ordered anything after 30 minutes of being there).

The food was fantastic! Sadly, the service was terrible from the minute we walked in the door. The male hostess complained we used Open Table to make a reservation, then the waiter commented about not knowing we were coming, we were one of four tables sitting at the time (not very busy). Waiter did not know specials because he said cooks were more than an hour late (our reservation was for 545, long after opening) but he would go check. There was no bartender, waiter said he/she was running late as well (again at 545!) so our waiter made our drinks but could only make a basic drink...straight scotch and vodka with club soda was our choice. Except for initial introduction, our waiter was friendly and apologetic for everything. Sadly, he was pretty slow but I think it’s because he appeared to be the only one working the floor. Seen no management, no one to ask how everything was; no one to keep the resturaunt running smoothly and make sure staff was there and on time. I think it really stinks for the chefs, the food was so good, but the service and accountability was awful.
No desire to go back but I’d love to follow the chef to a new restaurant that’s actually run and run well.

The service was not very good, and the food was just okay. The host’s appearance, as well as our waiter’s, were unkept. Next time, we will be spending our time and money elsewhere.

Made reservations for two on a Saturday at 7:30. Arrived at 7:25 to check in and was told by a hurried hostess it would be a half hour to seat us. I said we had reservations at 7:30 and she excused herself to have a frazzled gentleman explain it would be a half hour to seat us regardless of our reservation time. When I said "so check back at 8?" he replied "if that's a half hour from now, I don't even know what time it is".

So we walked down the street to Mango Peruvian restaurant and they were able to seat us immediately. We had a lovely meal there.

I guess I appreciate Copia not seating us if they were unable to serve us and save us both a bad experience. Plus we got to try out Mango...so there's that. But luckily there are other dining options in the area so the night wasn't a waste.

I made a reservation for the patio at 6:30 and when I arrived, the patio wasn’t even set up for dinner on a Saturday night! I asked when they opened and they said 4:30. We were seated after informing us they only had one server working who was also the hostess and they never even turned on the lights for us when we were seated us. No music, no lights. There was one other couple that got seated shortly after and they seemed to be questioning the place too. We ended up leaving and getting dinner elsewhere. I was taking my girlfriend out for her birthday and it was a total disappointment and disaster of a nice birthday dinner.

My wife and I had a 7 pm Saturday night reservation. We arrived early and they were able to seat us early, so that was a plus. Our waitress was very polite pleasant but did not offer to tell us what specials they had. So after looking over the menu my wife and I decided to order. My wife wanted the Organic Chicken and we we told they were out. It was 6 pm and seemed awful early in the evening to be out already. I tried to order gumbo as my appetizer and was also told that they were out of that. Again, it only being 6 pm it seemed awful early to be out. Nonetheless we ordered. My wife had the Hawaiian prepared Swordfish and I had the Cajun Creole chicken. Both meals were very good. We both ordered desert and the chocolate cake and gooey butter cake were both very good. My wife had two cocktails and was very happy with them. I would have given Copia a 5 star rating if we hadn't been told they were out of two of the items we tried to order. It is a little pricey so I would reserve trips here for special occasions.

The food options were good and the white fish etoufe was very good. Others in our party were not as satisfied. The service was excellent given there was one waiter for everyone. Very cheerful and great wine list. The cab we had was excellent.

My husband and I decided to share the (small) 16 oz. prime rib because that is a lot of meat. We also decided to share a salad. Both dishes were delivered to one of us without being divided. The salad was delivered without an extra plate, so we used a bread plate. On top of that, there is no way the portion of prime rib we received was 16 oz. We had a couple of people in our group that were a little fussy, but for the price of the food, there was no excuse for this lack of consideration. Otherwise the service was good.

Everything from the service, to the food, and restaurant was just great! I would highly recommend going here. You can enjoy a cocktail at the bar, or take to a quite table for a relaxing date night. Everyone working that night was great and very attentive. We will definitely be going back!

Other than taking half an hour to get our bottle of wine and the food being mediocre at best (my duck breast was not only NOT medium rare but sickeningly sweet), it was ok. Not returning.

This was my first time having such poor service. When I shared this with the company; they focused on my stating that the food was spicy and NOT the waitress ignoring my daughter & I for my birthday dinner that turned into a disaster. We were served and NOT seen for 30 minutes which did not give us a chance to share our disappointment with my daughter's dish. She told the waitress in advance that spicy food triggers her chronic migraines. She insisted that the sirachi was just a "hint". We were ready for the bill when we saw her again. At that time she said..."you should have told me".......we looked at each other; both thinking "when"??

I have never been treated so poorly from a waiter. He had us "promise" we would not change seats again, when the bride-to-be changed to the middle seat to be closer to everyone. He also told us the cost to cool down the patio was too expensive for us to go out there. This waiter made it so that I would never suggest this restaurant or return.

Ordered wine from the list which was not available and was offered one of an older vintage which was not available either. They offered a glass of wine for the screw up which was at the lowest price of the per glass list. Seems that most of the inventory was moved from the downtown to a new location. The list should be adapted to what is available at said location !!

After we were seated and ordered appetizers, the waiter told us that we’d have a 40-minute wait on our food order because the restaurant staff was focused on serving a private party with 100 guests. I did not understand this because I had reservations. It would seem that the restaurant would have closed the dining room if it did not have the capacity to serve the private party and people in the dining room, or it could have blocked off reservations that overlapped with the private party. I was visiting from out of town and this is the only night I had to connect with friends who live here. We had to leave because we didn’t have 40 minutes to wait. This experience disrupted my time to reconnect with friends who I rarely to get to see. It robbed us of the choice to meet somewhere where we would have been valued and received good service. The manager was rude and only offered us deserts. I requested the owner’s contact information and it was never given to me because the manager and entire staff was focused on the private party. It was clear that we didn’t matter because they were aiming to please the private party. The restaurant’s main dining room was near empty, and I understand why. The service is not good and customers are not valued equally. I would not make reservations for Copia or eat at Copia again.

It was a celebration of my mother’s birthday. The service staff made us feel welcomed. The food was delicious. Served promptly and displayed tastefully. Again the staff should be commended for their professionalism and their service

My filet was literally charred after a medium cook request. It also looked like a hunk of chuck roast tried to push off as a tenderloin filet. Mashed potatoes were cold as were my husbands. His ribs were tough and fatty. They did make me a new meal, however it was again overdone, but not burnt. The manager did not come out to apologize, and in fact we had to ask for her to discuss the bill which they initially didnt was to even discount. My meal took forever to receive a second time and my husband was staring at me eating. Not a good experience. Our server couldnt have been nicer or more apologetic. She was really great. Unfortunately we wont be back. 😟

Our server lost our credit card with three tables being served. Manager did nothing while server ran around looking for our credit card. We told them prior to bill being delivered we were going to a concert. We were late to the concert and they never found our card. The server lied and said the system was down. Very suspicious to what was done. Manger handled does us very poorly and was just rude

This is my first time visiting this establishment. It was my birthday and I wanted a nice dinner with friends. I am glad I chose this restaurant. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly with personality and attentive. I have already recommended Copia to coworkers.

Very Upsetting. We went here for my brother-in-law's birthday. After confirming with the hostess early in the day that we had a birthday nothing was done for him. It was not busy and the host should have alerted the waitress. The "Hawaiian Fish" was swordfish with raspberry sauce - NOT HAWAIIAN AT ALL! Fish was tough. My husband had the caprese salad to start and found plastic in it - no apologies, no manager even stopped by, worst part was it was still on the bill. Service was slow- Bill was High.

DO NOT GO HERE - SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

This was my first time at Copia and I would definitely come back! My filet steak was cooked to perfection. All the food was in fact, very good. Our waitress was very attentive and incredibly pleasant. Can't wait to eat here again!

Tried the Lamb Shank, very tender, sauce was excellent. Service was enjoyable and personable. We definitely recommend giving it a try.
