Locanda Vini e Olii
Great atmosphere, excellent service..we had drinks and 2 of us shared an antipasto plate, as they were not hungry. I had a ribollita soup as did my wife and it was delicious. I also had papardelle with sausage that was excellent
Excellent food and service. Love the cozy, neighborhood vibe.
Very good pasta, excellent wine.
I took my wife, a certified pasta enthusiast, here for her birthday. Staff was welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, but the food for sure is the highlight. The entire food procession is start-to-finish good, but the pasta is to die for. We want to go back simply to try the other pastas we didn't order.
One of our favorites. Delicious food. Warm service.
Loved this restaurant, food, atmosphere were excellent! Definitely will he going back!
The first time we came we had a lovely experience at the bar. It was a cold night and we were craving a cozy spot with delicious Italian food and this place really hits the spot. Be sure to order a few plates to pass around the table and a bottle of wine too. Locanda is perfect for an intimate date or a special occasion with friends and family.
We were very disappointed in the food, except for the desserts, and the ribollita was actually inedible. The wine was good.
Lovely, authentic Italian fare, hip locale, European style service.
Wonderful evening with friends at Locanda Vini e Olii. Amazing food with exceptional service.
Great Food Wine & Service, Top Notch.
Love it every time, it is the best consistent, everyday restaurant in Brooklyn. Can’t wait to go back.
Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and perfect service.
One of favorite restaurants in Brooklyn or NYC for that matter. A place we take Manhattan friends when they want great cocktails, superb food, and much less than Manhattan prices. Ambiance is funky and mixed age crowd is lively. Take note of the brownstone architecture in the neighbor.
My favorite restaurant in NYC!
Impeccable service, very knowledgeable server. Accommodated the gluten free diner very well. Delicious food - the fish in parchment was especially amazing. And the decor was delightfully quaint. Would def go back again.
Acting on recommendations, maybe I expected too much. It has charm and character. A warm, neighborhood feel. It's cute that it maintained the interior of the old neighborhood pharmacy. What a find if the food had been great or a great value, but it wasn't - it was just OK. The service was problematic. No real fault of the waiter - the waiter was trying but they were just stretched too thin and couldn't keep up with the demands of the tables in a good service kind of way. I had a glass of wine in mind for each of my dishes, but that was just wishful thinking. This is an order a bottle kind of place, because you may be hanging out with your empty glass for a while if trying a by the glass approach. Thankfully, we ordered a bottle of water. Also - where's the sauce - ordered a soup, came out like veggie mash, without broth. Also, the pappardelle was alot of shredded meat, very little red sauce. Maybe it's a regional thing, or the kitchen's preference to go very light on the sauces, but I love a good broth or sauce. In my opinion, not worth going out of your way to try this place. Based on the reviews, the whole world disagrees with me, but it just didn't come together for me.
We just love this place. You will not find better Italian food in Clinton Hill- the dishes are delicious, made with care, and served with passion. It’s our go-to for a neighborhood date. Highly recommended!
I hadn't been here in a while and forgot how great this place is! Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, and great wait staff!
Nothing stood out as particularly special on the menus, especially for the price. The wine and cocktails were good but the service was arrogant.
My husband & I had yet another fantastic dinner here on Friday! We were welcomed by the staff & enjoyed an interesting wine with our shared plates: liver app (my fave), calamari app, mushroom ravioli, & steak. If you haven’t been here yet you must go!
New Year's Eve is an event not to be missed at this amazing spot. Fabulous food and wine - great ambiance and service. Just an amazing way to have our last meal of the year.
Best Italian restaurant in New York area
Very authentic. Loved our waiter, Filippo. A presto!
So good and special. Local gem. Authentic food. Great service. Cozy environment.
Great northern Italian cuisine. Do not see tripe recipes on menus very often. It was fantastic. Wine selections extensive. Waiter was very helpful with recommendations, especially the duck entree. Had a great support staff in presenting all our food selections. MOLTO BUONA!
One of my favorite ; quality is always very high
Waiters are extremely polite
Amazing Christmas Dinner! Every single course was delicious!
We are happy to have this iconic dining locale in our neighborhood. It just keeps getting better. Our Christmas eve dinner was just the latest dining experience we have had in this warm and inviting place. Food is wonderful and special. Staff is attentive. We will be back.
Service was amazing and the food to die for!!
Travelled many years throughout Italy and was happy to return for the most authentic Tuscan meal we've had outside of Italy in a long time! Delicious food and such hospitable atmosphere and hosts!
Very accommodating of our large party that was in a rush. Very attentive service and delicious authentic Tuscan cuisine. Highly recommend!
Excellent food, service, quirky wine list but good value. Well worth going to, will go again.
I’ve gone here before and the food and service were excellent. However, this time service was awful and wait staff very rude. My friend ordered a fish dish that was disgustingly swimming in olive oil. She apologetically spoke to the waiter about it who condescended to her and didn’t believe that there was anything wrong with the dish. He took it away and brought her a bowl of beans snottily saying there was no olive oil in that! I’ve never encountered a ruder server in all my years in NYC. Suffice it to say that we left without ordering our usual desserts and disgestifs. With all the great spots in Fort Greene/Clinton Hill, I’m not giving this restaurant another cent of my money.
Simple food, beautifully prepared. Wonderful vibe to the place, a little neighborhood gem.
Chicken was amazing. Pastas all authentic and delicious - especially tagliatelle ai funghi. Ambiance is a lot of fun, but a little too eager on the bussing! They took away one of our plates before we were even finished eating it.
Amazing service and amazing food. Great time in a converted pharmacy.
We celebrated a birthday at Locanda and had an amazing time. Food, ambiance, service 10/10. Best Italian food in Brooklyn. My friends and I also love the sister restaunt Camillo's!!
