Chicken was amazing. Pastas all authentic and delicious - especially tagliatelle ai funghi. Ambiance is a lot of fun, but a little too eager on the bussing! They took away one of our plates before we were even finished eating it.
Amazing service and amazing food. Great time in a converted pharmacy.
We celebrated a birthday at Locanda and had an amazing time. Food, ambiance, service 10/10. Best Italian food in Brooklyn. My friends and I also love the sister restaunt Camillo's!!
Great food, good service. I had messed up and made a reservation for the wrong day and they found a way to accommodate our group of six on a pretty busy night. They were really pleasant about the whole mix-up and we had a great meal. Also the place has a hip yet cozy vibe and authentic food. Would definitely recommend!
Pretty damn good. Ill be going back. Maybe not with my wife but I'll be back.
Our second time here, and Locanda Vini e Olii did not disappoint! We love the creative Italian cuisine, warm service and cozy atmosphere. We will return!
Brilliant service and food - gorgeous
This was our second dining experience at the Locanda. Still fantastic! We started with Cauliflower Sformata and the anchovies. Both savoury gems. I had the gnocchi with pesto....one of the best pesto sauces...bright with flavor and color.
The best Italian in NYC
Great atmosphere and attentive service to begin. But food was a let down and they tried to rush us out to turn the table.
We mentioned it was a special birthday meal when we booked and when we arrived but they didn't care. All they wanted was our money.
One of our neighborhood favorites
family style meal for a group of 10 was phenomenal! great variety, delicious, and custom menu made it special!
Go for the interesting location and beautiful, original space, but the food is just ok and heavily salted.
Chef Michaele and staff prepare delicious authentic Italian food in a repurposed drug store. Now that they have been in the neighborhood for coffee to 10 years, they are the defacto go-to for impressing visitors.
Their quarterly wine dinners are also well worth the cost.
Great food, thoughtful wait staff. Ambiance is cozy and makes for a great night out!
Amazing service and food.
Amazing homemade pasta! The food felt authentic, and the place had a really nice, warm vibe.
Over all very good, I was not happy with the lackluster fifty dollar truffle pasta dish that I’ve had in the past and it was great, but this time it seemed like a premade portion and I was extremely dissatisfied with its taste.
We were looking for an authentic iItalian restaurant, and when we saw the dishes typical of Piemonte, on the menu, we knew we had to try. We were not disappointed. The chicken fegato appetizer in a vin santo sauce with risotto and sage was amazing!, as was the pappardelle with boar sauce. We will definitely be back to try the other pasta dishes.
This place never disappoints! Excellent in every way, and not at all pretentious.
Very cool restaurant The waiter the food very good very very good
My second time there.
For some reason, cinghiale and trippa were very salty. Can’t go back because of it.
4th anniversary dinner with our toddler. They were great in accommodating him with storing stroller, kid-friendly plate and cup, etc. Our second time dining there with him and they’re just lovely! The tripe was 😋😋😋
Absolutely amazing experience. The best restaurant in Brooklyn.
It’s my most favorite place in NYC!
We've been several times & this place never disappoints. The food is terrific, and given the hour & how crowded the restaurant is, it can be quite noisy.
The server we had was rude and push us out of the restaurant as fast as he could. The whole experience was very transactional and the food was average, nothing to write him about.
Best Italian restaurant in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn!
Most wonderful restaurant in NYC
Stellar. A true neighborhood gem.
Was absolutely delicious, just a little noisy so was hard to talk sometimes but overall loved it
This was my second time here and the first time was a much better experience. This time may have been my last. The food was good but the service was subpar. While I waited for my friend to arrive I ordered a bottle of wine at the bar and the bartender gave me an empty glass with it because he couldn't be bothered to pour it. The pastas we ordered were completely forgotten to the point where our server had to ask again what we wanted and we never even received the olives we ordered. On a positive note the ambience was fun and energetic on a Tuesday and we were seated quickly.
Great, fresh, authentic Italian food. Charming ambience.
One of my favorite spots in a neighborhood with plenty of great restaurants. I have always had a delicious meal here.
Tasting menu absolutely amazing ! Every course was delicious simple rustic food, generous portions.
My favorite dish was the chicken liver and risotto appetizer but everything was excellent. This was my second time here with visiting friends who were blown away by the meal.
We also had a wine pairing which was great value and well chosen.
Interior is quirky and atmospheric but the vibe is Neighbour good down to earth no pretentiousness . Had a better meal here than some of the Michelin starred restaurants in brooklyn!! Love it!!
Excellent real authentic italian food. As dining in a very good italian restaurant in Italy. Cozy atmosphere and decent wine list with some choices that one can't find in other italian restaurants.
This place is the BEST.
Awesome evening with friends. Great food, perfect service. Well done!
Never failed to satisfy. Authentic Italian cuisine, with a Tuscan focus. Service can be slow, but servers are well informed, and friendly.
Tight seating and a bit loud, but ambiance is unique and warm.
This was one of the best restaurants we've been to in the entire NYC. Amazing ambiance in an old pharmacy, lots of original furniture, and great decor. Service was second to none. We had a larger group with a toddler, and were accommodated every step of the way, despite it not being your typical "kid friendly" restaurant. We were served by multiple staff members, who were all equally friendly and knowledgeable. Wine list was spectacular and the food authentically Tuscan! This is a rare find in the US. Some of the dishes on the menu I have not seen since visiting Tuscany. Everything about our experience here was fantastic! We would love to come back soon.
