Absolutely amazing experience. The best restaurant in Brooklyn.
It’s my most favorite place in NYC!
We've been several times & this place never disappoints. The food is terrific, and given the hour & how crowded the restaurant is, it can be quite noisy.
The server we had was rude and push us out of the restaurant as fast as he could. The whole experience was very transactional and the food was average, nothing to write him about.
Best Italian restaurant in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn!
Stellar. A true neighborhood gem.
Was absolutely delicious, just a little noisy so was hard to talk sometimes but overall loved it
This was my second time here and the first time was a much better experience. This time may have been my last. The food was good but the service was subpar. While I waited for my friend to arrive I ordered a bottle of wine at the bar and the bartender gave me an empty glass with it because he couldn't be bothered to pour it. The pastas we ordered were completely forgotten to the point where our server had to ask again what we wanted and we never even received the olives we ordered. On a positive note the ambience was fun and energetic on a Tuesday and we were seated quickly.
Great, fresh, authentic Italian food. Charming ambience.
One of my favorite spots in a neighborhood with plenty of great restaurants. I have always had a delicious meal here.
Tasting menu absolutely amazing ! Every course was delicious simple rustic food, generous portions.
My favorite dish was the chicken liver and risotto appetizer but everything was excellent. This was my second time here with visiting friends who were blown away by the meal.
We also had a wine pairing which was great value and well chosen.
Interior is quirky and atmospheric but the vibe is Neighbour good down to earth no pretentiousness . Had a better meal here than some of the Michelin starred restaurants in brooklyn!! Love it!!
Excellent real authentic italian food. As dining in a very good italian restaurant in Italy. Cozy atmosphere and decent wine list with some choices that one can't find in other italian restaurants.
This place is the BEST.
Awesome evening with friends. Great food, perfect service. Well done!
Never failed to satisfy. Authentic Italian cuisine, with a Tuscan focus. Service can be slow, but servers are well informed, and friendly.
Tight seating and a bit loud, but ambiance is unique and warm.
This was one of the best restaurants we've been to in the entire NYC. Amazing ambiance in an old pharmacy, lots of original furniture, and great decor. Service was second to none. We had a larger group with a toddler, and were accommodated every step of the way, despite it not being your typical "kid friendly" restaurant. We were served by multiple staff members, who were all equally friendly and knowledgeable. Wine list was spectacular and the food authentically Tuscan! This is a rare find in the US. Some of the dishes on the menu I have not seen since visiting Tuscany. Everything about our experience here was fantastic! We would love to come back soon.
The rabbit was superb. I wasn’t quite as thrilled with the Panzanella which was cold for some reason. But the wine was great and reasonably priced and our waiter knowledgeable about the list. Love this place!
I love this place - the history of the venue, the warm and attentive service, the delicious high-quality food, the ambiance - everything about it is amazing. I'll be going back again soon!
Imaginative, quality Tuscan food in a beautiful space. Sound level is high; best chance for a conversation is a weekday night.
A wonderful meal. The chicken livers as an antipasto were exceptional.
Outstanding southern Italian cuisine with a friendly staff. Someshst crowded and noisy and pricey, but worth it. I've gone twice already and I'm looking forward to my next time.
Great birthday experience for my family
I really like this place. I find both food and the drinks really good and the service is usually very lovely. This time around we had a waiter who was loud, rude, had snarky replies to basic questions and rolled his eyes at my husband when asked about something. We weren’t being difficult either, we both work in customer service so we understand how difficult it can be, but this was just unpleasant.
Great food and ambiance, also very well priced ! Two entrees, an app, and two drinks came out to only $80 including tip
Always love the food, wine and service. Favourite restaurant in the neighbourhood by a long shot.
Fantastic dinner with my daughter. Richest comfort food in North Brooklyn. Cod with potato’s and Cinghiale with wild boar and juniper berries were so very good. Classic negroni always the best way to settle in.
My favorite neighborhood Italian spot in Brooklyn.
Like bring in a trattoria in Italy. Perfect in every respect. Tasting dinner from chef for 4 plus great wine
Great food, friendly service and terrific atmosphere.
We had a table that they had put under part of the AC unit; which dropped cold water on us and the table throughout our meal. The staff tried wiping the unit down, but that only did so much. The food was great, I would just avoid the table in the middle at the back of the reataurant
The branzino is amazing! Good wine selection and service was great. Reservations are a must!
Excellent, authentic Italian food with wines to match. Everything prepared with care and attention to the season. Friendly service.
A wonderful restaurant for a special night! We loved the ambiance, the food, and the drink selection! We ate the mozzarella appetizer, spaghetti with red sauce and pancetta, and cod with potatoes, and all were so delicious. I look forward to going back sometime soon!
Amazing! Amazing amAzing
Lots of fun. A hole in the wall but delicious food and a relaxed ambiance. Service a little slow but restaurant was packed on a Sunday.
Our son’s birthday and everyone had a great time!
If the home-made amaro is in stock, you absolutely need to get it.
We have visited twice in 2018; our family group includes locals and out of towners; excellent meals throughout; the spirit of italian dining is evident, the execution is like being in Campania
First time back in years since leaving Brooklyn. Better than ever. Missed the feel and warmth of all staff (old and new) and was so happy to have brought in family from out of the country to meet some of the crew and taste the only non-"American"-Italian spot in NYC. Authentic and nostalgic as always.
Absolutely delicious meal Saturday evening. We ordered the tasting menu. $55 for 4 courses and it was truly excellent value. The breadth and quality of food was superb. We had some big appetites in the group and none were disappointed ! Liver , will boar and duck were all highlights.
The service was also totally on point. Nothing too fast but never slow. Exactly how you would like things. Truly a great find that I would recommend for any occasion. Well worth the trip. You like Italian food you will love this spot.
Great food, and intimate setting, what more is there to say.
