Service and food were good. Wine list was a bit disappointing but had some bottles we knew and liked.
Excellent service and food. The atmosphere is great! Not too big and just really feels nice and elegant in it's on way.
This is our favorite restaurant. Always great food and service.
My second visit and cannot say enough about the attention to detail! The food! The service! The chef is talented and Oliver will make certainly your experience is memorable!
Awesome in every way!!! Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
We had a very enjoyable meal. Service and food were excellent. Atmosphere was also great.
Sperata's is a great fine dining experience at a very fair price. The tenured professional staff is extremely accommodating and owner/chef (Chris) prepares delectable culinary (5 Star type) dishes. It is an intimate setting, quietly located on Main Street in downtown historic Buford, Ga.
I highly recommend it and would rate it a 10 on a scale of 10 (I'm not kidding)!
Excellent food and service!!! Our server went out of his way to ensure my wife and I would enjoy our evening even presenting off menu items that the kitchen was able to make. Small menu although super fresh and all excellent. Great place highly highly recommended
Had a great dinner and service!
Sperata has excellent food, service, and ambiance! Wait staff are attentive and friendly, but
aren't intrusive. It is not a place for a quick, inexpensive meal; it is a place to enjoy each
course, with a (low) noise level, and a place for couples/small groups.
We had the mussels as an app, endive salad, and while I had bourbon-glazed salmon, hubs had a ribeye. All were very, very, good~ although I think hubby wished he'd tried a seafood dish (since it's not always easy to find great seafood near us!)
I highly recommend this restaurant, but with these cautions: it isn't cheap, but well worth the money. It isn't a place for kids under 10 or 12, and I'm not sure most kids would appreciate the type of food. It isn't a place where you order, get your food, and are out the door in 30 minutes. But it IS a place with well-prepared, delicious food, with great ambiance/atmosphere, and where you enjoy your meal as well excellent service!
Food was good so was service except again i had to get my points as they marked me as canceled, even though i was present ate and paid my invoice for services provided.
If you're looking for complexity and creativity in your food, this is a good place. Been visiting for years and never disappointed. I recommend the Carpaccio. Service is excellent (they do slow serve on purpose). 5 stars.
Great restaurant. Celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary this past weekend. Love the quiet atmosphere with live piano in the background. Excellent service, not rushed at all, but also waiter was available whenever needed.
It was nice. The food was good. Small menu.
the Scottish salmon was the finest we’ve ever had. it was the best meal ever and we’ve eaten at Sperata a lot. The chef is so creative. They had a large party that night but still gave us perfect attention Bravo
Its a hidden gem with excellent food with a European flair and taste. On the weekends they have a live piano player for extra ambiance. Only disappointing part was that the wine list was limited.
Always enjoy the food, creativity, and taste is awesome. Only downside recently was that several wines and several deserts were not available - they were 86ed; and when you are looking for the chocolate tort and not available - creme brulee just doesn't fit. I am a regular and will continue go back. Food & Beverage needs to support the floor.
The food was great. We had rack of lamb and cod. Both dishes were excellent and generous portions. The service was excellent and the wait staff was very knowledgeable. There was live piano music while we ate as well.
This was my second time this month. The food is exquisite and beautiful! presented with large servings. The chicken picata and wild caught salmon are excellent choice not to mention the crème brulette. The quality freshness and texture is amazing.
Dining at Sperata is a consistent pleasure. The food, the service, the ambiance compares to any of the better restaurants in the Atlanta area. The wait staff is highly professional and accommodating; you want something special, they will do their best to provide it. Everything on the menu is well prepared by the chef and you will remember your experience for a long time. My greatest advice to anyone planning to visit this superior establishment—make a reservation via Open Table. Enjoy!
Another great meal at our favorite restaurant. Michael's service met all our expectations.
Enjoyed the Caesar salad so much and the Maui Maui fish. Everything was delicious!!
Excellent meal at Sperata with excellent service from Oliver. Chef made us the Sperata salad that for some reason they took off the menu, put it back on it’s amazing and your signature.
Reservation at 7:15 and left restaurant at 9:36 not by our choice...long, long service. Took forever to get each choice! Ordered Salmon and 10 minutes later was told they were out due to a large party upstairs. Food mediocre. Pricey without quality.
A perfect evening start to finish!
Love this place. Awesome time dining with friends this past Friday night. Food was fantastic! Our server Charles was fabulous! Outstanding cocktails and wine selection.
We went to Sperata before going to the Buford Community Theatre. Our second time to Sperata and were not disappointed, Food was absolutely wonderful with incredible sauces. Great Caesar Salad and dessert. This is becoming my favorite restaurant!
So glad we were referred to this lovely restaurant. Oliver is awesome. Great service and the food was fabulous. Fried green tomatoes, Picasso Salad, Rack of Lamb & Pork Tenderloin. GENEROUS portions and wonderful flavors. Can't wait to return. Thanks for a terrific evening out!
Sister in law visiting from Ecuador with her husband.
It was simply great food and great service. We will be back.
We entered to the live piano music and a few open table right up front. Luckily we were seated near the back as the piano (while enjoyable) would have made conversation impossible at a table near by. We tried to order a bottle of Prosecco to celebrate our anniversary, but were told their last bottle had already been opened. We ended up getting a glass each and it was a great wine. However, some sort of acknowledgment for the inconvenience would have been nice rather than simply being charged full price for the glasses. We ordered the carpaccio which was amazing, full of flavor and plenty for a party of 4. We also ordered the lobster bisque which was very good. I will say here that our server seemed to be very distracted despite not having a large amount of tables. We had long waits between all of our courses and our orders including our 2nd glasses of wine since we couldn't get a bottle. In addition, the bread when it came seemed to have been burnt. My wife ordered the rack of lamb which was delicious and a very large size, I had the pork Wellington which was also delicious and quite large. In fact, we were so full from our 3 courses we couldn't order a dessert. Which is too bad as the sticky toffee pudding sounded delicious.
All in all, I give the food and atmosphere top marks, the service was a great when he was paying attention. But getting out in less than 2 full hours would have been appreciated. We will definitely be back, on a future special occasion.
Menu changed since i was last there. Seems to be more focused on pri fixe which i dont like. Regular menu is much more limited now. Also menu did not match the website which is not good. If you are going to have a web site keep it up to date. The waiter, Oliver, is just awesome tho.
This is an excellent restaurant located in downtown Buford Ga.It is an old hardware store that is very nostalgic and nicely decorated. We would have rated higher except for not doing anything to celebrate a birthday other than noting the fact. A small piece of cake with a candle would have been nice.
Great food and service - always enjoy this restaurant !!!
Met friends there Saturday evening to catch up. It was the perfect setting--the Van Gogh's and dark tones gave it a European countryside feeling and the pianist playing in the background set the perfect tone. Able to enjoy a quiet conversation with good friends. Our server Sebastian was very attentive and the food was excellent. We will be back soon!
It was a little loud near the piano. Hard to hear my date without talking loud.
Exceeded all expectations in every way. Highly recommended for romantic evening.
Everyone enjoyed their meal as one of the best they had eaten in quite some time.
The Service, Atmosphere and Food were amazing! We had a wonderful evening!
