We had a group of 6 and made reservations. Seated promptly and the service was outstanding. Food and drinks arrived timely and the whole group was very satisfied with their entrees. Would highly recommend the restaurant for any upscale occasion. MoreOpenTable Diner -
The meals we had were fantastic. My mother had the chicken breast and she Now rates it as the best meal she ever had in Washington. I don't have as clear rating system, but the scallops I had clearly rank in the top 5 meals I can remember having in DC. We had dinner here after seeing the movie The Post. It was so impressive to see all the Pulitzer Prize winning photos, photos of journalists and illuminaries. We sat under a photo of John Kerry helping to celebrate the 100th anniversary of The NPC; It was a fitting table because I volunteered on John's first political campaign when he ran for Congress in 1972. The National Press Club is a treasure and the Fourth Estate restaurant is an excellent place to dine. Be sure to set aside time to take in the history while before or after your meal. Second time visit, different experience. Did the max group size (6) with a cozy corner booth. Went off-menu with the tasting (5 drinks for $40; the price went up), but I would suggest doing a cocktail tasting only when you sit at the bar. Also suggest date nights here rather than group events. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Discover Washington, D.C.
An international city with the food chops to show for it, Washington D.C. is brimming with new restaurants, coffee houses and spirited bars. And, while tablecloth dining has it’s place here (diplomats gotta eat), so does the casual yet delicious lunch spot (interns gotta eat, too). Near the Capitol, historic eateries and classic menus are favored by many. Excellent Filipino food can be found in Columbia Heights. Near Georgetown, upscale bistros and farm-to-table spots are the order of the day, and Adams Morgan is home to many international restaurants and locally owned cafes.
